AutoplayOff does not collect, store, transmit, sell, or share any personal data or user data of any kind.
- Everything is local. AutoplayOff works entirely inside your browser. Its only job is to pause autoplaying media until you choose to play it. No browsing data, page content, or media information is ever sent to any server.
- No tracking. No accounts, no analytics, no telemetry, no advertising, no third parties. The extension does not record or report what sites you visit or what you watch.
- What it stores, and where. Your single on/off setting and your per-site allow-list are saved using Chrome's
storage.sync, so they stay with your Chrome profile. That's the only data it keeps, and it never leaves Chrome's own storage.
- No remote code. All code ships inside the extension; nothing is downloaded or executed from the internet.
Permissions are used solely to provide the feature:
- storage — save your on/off setting and per-site allow-list.
- host access (
<all_urls>) — required so the blocker can run on any site (autoplay can happen anywhere), and so the popup can show the current site. Used only locally; nothing is transmitted.
